Drawings! News! Sharks!

Well, I buckled and started a new sketchbook. I was trying to do loose-leaf work but what can I say? I am weak.

Anyway, here are 6 dailies:

Which reminds me–I’m not the only one doing A Drawing A Day. Seamus Heffernan started the same day as me (March 1st), and I started a Flickr group for all the artists out there who may want to challenge themselves. Feel free to join in on the fun! Oh! And we 365′rs got a plug on Illustration Friday (scroll to the bottom) thanks to one Mr. W.C. Williams.

Also, Mia Nolting has made many beautiful contributions to the Girls Only Sketchbook. Check them out on her blog.

And that brings me to my next point: Discovery Channel’s Shark Week is coming!! It starts July 27th and in celebration of sharks and Shark Week several talented artists (i.e. Ryan Alexander-Tanner, Aidan Koch, Ravina Sniper) will be doing shark-related art. Please feel free to contribute! There’s a pool on Flickr.
