Check it! I’m working on an abstract figure sculpture. Here’s what I’ve got so far:

S’all about the hipbones, don’t you know!
Also, I cracked open my sketchbook for the first time in, like, 2 months, and here’s what happened:

It’s a preliminary sketch for a sequence of four drawings I should be done with by this Friday. Exciiiittiiinng!
Daaaang, I keep forgetting to bring home my monster drawing to scan. Shoot! I’ll really, really try to remember this week.
Ok!
That last post was scary. Haha, sorry. To make up for it:

I finished it! Woohoo! Here are some closer shots:

We drink a lot of tea, Ravina and I.
So after my 365 celebration party I was left with the unenviable task of carefully removing each drawing from my walls, transporting all 365 of them across town in the Portland rain (thank you to Marcus for driving me over there!), and putting them all back up in my school’s library (thank you Ravina for helping!). My thumb has a small callous on it from the thumbtacks. It took about 4 hours to get them all up. Wah, wah, wah. Boo-fucking-hoo. I know.
Anyway, here’s a little sneak-peak:

The show will be up until March 31st, so if you live in Portland you should go check it out! PNCA is located at NW Johnson & 13th Ave. Go! Go! Go!
In other news, I will be having another show at The Observatory in April. More soon!
This is a work in progress, but this is the state it is currently in, and who knows how long it’ll be until I get to work on it again. Probably not until Spring Break (Spring Break woo!). Ravina Schneider (aka Ravina Sniper) and I collaborated on a few of the pieces, and I did all the assembly because I love stabbing myself with a large embroidery needle over and over again, whereas Ravina (the smarter of the two of us) does not.

A classmate pointed out that the piece is shaped like the Pi symbol. Makes sense, considering how much I love Pi.

mmmmmm….. Pi….
(yeah yeah. That was silly. I half expected a giant cane to pull me away as I typed in the coding for that pie photo.)
Anyway, here are a couple of closer shots.

I mean really…

Drawings! Everywhere! That is about 1/3.
Also I made my first 3D 365 drawing. It only took 353 days to think of it, but hey, better late than never!

It’s a Margaret Kilgallen pyramid.
Here it is a little closer…

Straight freehand ink, no pencil. Aww yeuh!
I just got a proper scan of this today. Chalk pastel & ink:

And here’s a box I made last year. I’m submitting it to the school’s BFA Art Show. It’s a juried show, so we’ll see. Hopefully it’ll get in:
And here’s a gouache painting that I finished last night. It’s of my bar-fly roommate, Corie, and the pool table is a nod to Vincent van Gogh.
