Well, the Slurry Gecko idea was trashed. Slurry Gecko was replaced by the Man in the Moon. I’ll post him later.

I apologize for the lack of postings. I have been very busy. I have been away, at a special month-long seminar held by the brilliant “Countess von Shoulderpads.” Watch the video below for details.

Check back in a couple weeks for information about the gunky black SLURRY GECKO. They live in the abandoned coal mines of Appalachia. The Slurry Gecko is the love-child of coal mine slurry and Mountain Dew. You know how when you mix egg yolks with lime juice there’s a chemical reaction and you get key lime pie? It’s like that, except instead of getting a delicious dessert whose preparation won’t overheat your house in the summertime, you get… a large, eyeless salamander that’s covered in a sticky, tar-like substance and lives on heavily polluted water filled with human excrement!

I accidentally smeared hot pink gouache all over a page in my sketchbook and I ended up with this mess:

It’s nice to have a sketchbook again

Yes. I was sketchbook-free for many months, if you can believe it. I was on a strictly loose-leaf diet, and it was lovely, and I certainly regret nothing. But now I’m back in the sketchbook game – on top of the new Canson book I also got myself some new brushes, new Micron pens, and a big, fat, brand-new glue stick. So, expect madness and magic soon! In fact, have a look at the first page in my new book, littered with incredibly flattering cartoon self-portraits!
